How to Find the Right Real Estate Coach

A coach is a great asset to any business; they’re like a silent partner, solely focused on your needs as a business owner.

Working with a certified and qualified business coach who has a track record is proven to accelerate company success, creating life balance and reducing stress for business owners by guiding them in heavy-weighted decision making.

In real estate, coaches are a huge asset. Having a real estate coach, and a coaching program means having trusted assistance as you work to become a real estate professional, and expand your real estate business. They are a great investment that will serve you well in the long term, whether you’re just getting started with your business, or are looking
become a top producing agent and scale your business to the next level of success.

Choosing the right real estate coach is important to your real estate career development. It will either make or break your business’s progression.

Read on to discover five tips to help you choose the right real estate coach.

Seek Out a Coach From Inside the Industry (Familiar Perspective)

When it comes to receiving guidance from a seasoned real estate coach, it’s in your best interest to search for tried and true best practices that have proven to work for other sales representatives.

This is a real estate coach who has “been there and done that.” From them, you can get the right advice concerning the technical aspects of the real estate industry, as well as ideas on traditional business planning, time management, and life balance.

This type of coaching experience is the best to go with if you are new to real estate, and in the beginning stages of starting your own business.

Seek Out A Coach Outside of the Industry (New Perspective)

Choosing a real estate coach from outside of the real estate business also has its benefits.

A business coach who hasn’t been where you are is going to help you think in broader terms; this is good because it has the potential to expand your horizon of influence as it relates to your work.

A real estate coach with knowledge and deep understanding in differing industries is the best choice for real estate agents who are looking to diversify their professional portfolio or outreach.

There are no limits to the ideas you can generate when you work with a coach from outside of the real estate industry.

Find a Forward-Thinking Real Estate Coach

Search for a real estate coach who can meet you where you are going, versus where you are now.

Too often, people choose coaches who share the same viewpoints and values—and that’s okay. But have you considered taking one step further by working with a coach who has achieved the kind of success you hope to reach in the next three to five years?

If you want to accelerate your business, build a team, or start your own brokerage, you should consider a real estate coach with executive and CEO coaching experience. These are the folks who will stretch your thinking—so you start thinking like the CEO of your business!

Be Willing To Invest, But Choose Wisely!

Fees for coaching programs are not only a business expense, but an investment in your self.

So, how much does real estate coaching typically cost?

At the lower end of the fee structure, you’re likely to pay around $350/hour for one-on-one coaching assistance. There are no standards for fee structures, so every coach determines their price point. Many coaches also offer flat fees for their programs.

Do your research on finding a rate that you can comfortably budget for.

Now, there’s seldom harm in working with any coach, but the reality is, if you want to soar in the real estate market, you must settle for nothing less than a coach of value—someone that can help you as you accelerate towards your goals.

Do your homework. Ask for references. Some coaches offer free sessions and consultations to determine if you are a good-fitting client for their services—don’t be afraid to request that.

Most importantly, Don’t settle. If it’s taking you a little longer to secure the most suitable coach, that’s a good sign. Stay persistent. The right coach will come at the right time.

Recent AboutFace research revealed that about 3 in 5 people with a facial difference reported being negatively impacted at work or within the context of work due to their facial difference.
